Jeanne, 40, receives an unexpected visit from her estranged sister Suzanne, who arrives with her two young children. The sisters have not seen each other for months, and Suzanne appears distant, her behaviour increasingly unsettling.
The following day, Suzanne vanishes without a trace, leaving behind only a brief farewell letter. When Jeanne turns to the police, her confusion quickly turns to frustration as she is told that no search will be initiated—her sister has chosen to disappear.
Forced to put her own life on hold, Jeanne takes in her niece and nephew while grappling with the mystery of Suzanne’s sudden departure—and the haunting question of why her sister walked away.
