This dynamic course is designed for bilingual children aged 8 to 12, currently in Year 2 to Year 5, who already read and write confidently in English and are ready to further develop their French literacy, grammar, and cultural knowledge.

Drawing on the French national curriculum for CE2, CM1, and CM2, this program strengthens both foundational and advanced primary-level skills in a structured, engaging, and age-appropriate way.

Each weekly session lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes and is led by a qualified, native French-speaking teacher. Lessons include interactive activities such as reading workshops, grammar games, vocabulary-building tasks, creative writing, and cultural projects.

This engaging 8-week course (Term 1) then 9-week course (Terms 2 to 4) is designed for bilingual children aged 5.5 to 8 who are already learning to read and write in English and are now ready to begin developing French literacy skills.

Each 1 hour and 30-minute weekly session, led by a qualified, native French-speaking teacher, includes fun, structured activities such as games, songs, phonics practice, and storytelling. Children will:

  • Learn French graphemes (letters) and phonemes (sounds), building a solid foundation for reading and writing.
  • Master basic spelling and grammar rules, strengthening early writing skills.
  • Develop listening and speaking abilities through interactive language activities.
  • Explore French culture through stories, music, and creative tasks that celebrate and support their bilingual identity.

Curriculum & Differentiation

We draw on elements of the French national curriculum (CP and CE1) and adapt the program to meet the developmental needs of both Kindergarten and Year 1 students.

With the support of an early childhood assistant, the teacher can rotate between the two groups to provide targeted instruction:

  • Kindergarten students:
    Focus on early reading readiness, phonics, handwriting practice, and foundational decoding skills.
  • Year 1 students:
    Emphasis on reading fluency, building vocabulary, grammar awareness, and writing longer, more structured sentences.

Children also enjoy whole-group activities, coming together to explore French culture, develop reading comprehension, and participate in songs, stories, and shared learning experiences.

Materials & Learning Environment

All materials are provided, ensuring each child has the tools needed to learn in a creative, supportive, and immersive environment.

Les Teens - A2.3/B1.1 - Intermediate

Standard

For students aged 12–17 years

This course is designed for motivated teenagers who have an A2 level (generally 2–4 years of French study) and wish to progress confidently toward A2.3 and B1 level. It prepares students using the objectives and competencies outlined in the DELF A2 and DELF B1 frameworks.

Program Overview

Using the teen-focused methodologies Adosphère 3 and Adosphère 4, students strengthen and extend their language skills through engaging, interactive activities such as role-plays, debates, projects, group work, and real-life communication tasks.

If you already own Adosphère 3 or 4, you do not need to purchase a new book. Your teacher will let you know when it is time to move to the next level.

What Students Will Learn

Throughout this one-year A2.3 / B1 program, students will:

  • Expand their ability to talk about more complex topics (school life, hobbies, personal opinions, experiences, future plans)
  • Ask and answer questions with increasing fluency and accuracy
  • Strengthen their mastery of past tenses (passĂ© composĂ©, imparfait)
  • Consolidate and extend their understanding of futur proche, futur simple, and conditionnel prĂ©sent
  • Build richer vocabulary for everyday situations and teen-relevant themes
  • Develop stronger listening and reading comprehension using authentic materials
  • Improve written expression through structured tasks, short texts, and opinion writing
  • Gain confidence expressing personal viewpoints — a key B1 requirement
  • Prepare progressively for DELF A2 or B1 exams (optional)

Saturday Morning Classes

Saturday A2.3 / B1 classes run for 2 hours and include a morning tea break, giving students time to recharge and socialise between learning blocks.

There are four terms in one year with a period of holidays between each term.
