Skype tutoring
The Alliance Française de Newcastle is offering Skype tutoring.
It is a great option especially if you are looking for tailor-made courses and/or intensive or flexible classes. The big advantage of Skype is that you can learn French from the comfort of your home.
Tutoring options are available depending on teacher availability.

How to book a Skype tutoring
STEP 1: Download, fill in and return the attached form below.
If you are interested in private tutoring, please download and fill in the form attached here. Return the form to contact@afnewcastle.com.au
We encourage applying at least 2 weeks before you wish to begin.
Please note that Skype and private tuition is organised case-by-case by the AFN Coordinator. The AFN Coordinator works part-time and treats new requests chronologically in the order in which they are received. New requests are managed via a waiting list.
STEP 2: The AFN Coordinator will contact you and inform you about the availability of a teacher.
The AFN coordinator will contact you to confirm the form has been received and will keep you informed about the availability of a teacher.
The AFN Coordinator will confirm with the students the day and time that suits both the student and the teacher
STEP 3: The AFN Coordinator will send you an invoice to confirm the booking of the private tutoring
Once the tutoring schedule is being confirmed, the payment can be organised. Please note that the payment of the package will be required in full at least 72 hours before the first confirmed lesson.
Payment is available via Bank Transfer to the AFN Bank account.
Please note that if the AFN does not hear from you within 3 business days of confirming the availability of a teacher by email, your teacher may be reallocated, or no longer available to take your class.
STEP 4: ENJOY THE CLASS
We would suggest allowing some time to make sure everything is working before the start of your lesson.

In case of cancellation and/or changes

All communication regarding changes or cancellation must be made by email at contact@afnewcastle.com.au. Please indicate in the subject of the email CANCELLATION TUTORING / TUTORING CHANGES.
Failure to notify AFN of a lesson cancelation prior to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time will result in the full fee being charged for the lesson which means that the class will not be rescheduled.

Skype is a free software to communicate online.
What you need: To take our Skype lessons, you need a computer, a broadband or a good wireless connection, a microphone, and a webcam. You also need a Skype account/user name.
How to use SKYPE

Step 1: Check that your computer has a built-in microphone, if not you will have to buy a headset such as a VOIP/SKYPE Hands free Stereo Headset w/ Microphone.

Step 2: Check that your computer has a built-in webcam, if not you will have to buy a separate webcam.

Step 3: Download the software from Skype.com and create a Skype user name. Skype is free to download (If you need support visit their FAQs page ).
