Standard classes

PACE:
- 2 hours per week over 9 weeks
- Our standard classes are based on one-year learning for each level.

Classes start on February each year.
It may be possible to join mid-term or mid-year, please, make sure to contact us. 

PRICING:  
For all our standard classes, it is $280 for one term (=$15.5/hour)

OUR LEVELS: 

It is important to enrol in the right level, so if you are unsure of your level, please contact us via email and we will help you find the right course.

1. Beginners

 A1.1 level 

At the end of this course, you'll be able to understand and use familiar every day expressions and very basic phrases. You will be able to  introduce yourself and others as well as ask and answer questions. 

2. Continuing Beginners

A1.2 level 

At the end of this course, you'll be able to interact in a simple way in short conversation.

3. Elementary 1

A2.1 level

At the end of this course, you'll be able to understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).


4. Elementary 2

A2.2 level 

At the end of this course, you'll be able to communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.  

5. Elementary 3

 A2.3 level

At the end of this course, you'll be able to describe in simple terms aspects of your background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

6.Intermediate 1

B1.1 level 

At the end of this course, you'll be able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. You'll be able to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.  


7. Intermediate 2

B1.2 level 

At the end of this course, you'll be able to produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. You'll be able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions.


8. Intermediate 3

B1.3 level

At the end of this course, you'll be able to produce more complex connected text on familiar topics. You'll be able to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

9. Advanced 1

B2.1 level 

At the end of this course, you'll be able to interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party. You'll be able to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

10. Advanced 2

B2.2 level

At the end of this course, you'll be able to understand a wide range of longer texts, and start to recognise implicit meaning. You'll be able to  express yourself spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions. You'll be able to use language for social and professional purposes. You will be able to produce clear and detailed text on a wide range of subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns and connectors.

11. Advanced 3

B2.3 level

At the end of this course, you'll be able to understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning. You'll be able to  express yourself fluently and spontaneously. You'll be able to use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. You will be able to produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

Workshops and short classes

Short classes 

Conversational French Courses
- All year round
- 1h30 per week
- $175 for the Term (9 weeks) = ($12.9/hour)

- One Elementary/Intermediate Group (A2 to B1 levels)
on Saturday morning at Café Coco Mondé on Darby Street.

- One Intermediate/advanced Group (B1 to B2 levels) on Tuesday afternoon at the Joy Cummings Center, 61-63 Scott Street, Newcastle.


Tutoring

- Private Tutoring
- Semi Private Tutoring (2 to 5 students) with specific needs.
