In the late 19th century, having already achieved international acclaim for designing the framework for the Statue of Liberty, Gustave Eiffel is in high demand. He wants to design the Paris Subway but is under pressure from the French government to produce something special for the 1889 World's Fair. After initially struggling for inspiration, everything changes when Eiffel encounters a mysterious woman called Adrienne from his past and the iconic Eiffel Tower is the result.
