This course will be conducted entirely face-to-face at Level 1, 799-803 Hunter Street.

For this course, you will need to purchase or be in possession of the textbook Cosmopolite 3. It is available for purchase on our website at a preferential price for AF members.

Objectives

Level achieved: At the end of this course you should have reached level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR): an instrument for plurilingual education,  This level is described as:

• Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
  
• Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
• Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
• Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
