Refunds & Returns Policy

Note that fees cannot be refunded or transferred in the case of cancellation by the student less than 2 working days before the course starts, except under special circumstances whereby justification is provided (e.g. presentation of medical certificate, approval from the School Direction).

No partial refund can be granted for classes not attended and postponement is only allowed in exceptional circumstances andmust be approved by the Treasurer.

Adult classes / Conditions of enrolment

  • No enrolment is confirmed unless 100% of the course fee is paid.
  • Payments have to be made before the beginning of the term, as per instructions on the website.
  • A student who has not paid cannot be accepted in class.
  • Please do not pay teachers directly.
  • Fees will not be refunded unless cancellation occurs before the beginning of the course.
  • A minimum of 5 students is required to start a class.
  • Classes falling on public holidays will be rescheduled at a suitable time in the session.
  • Cancellation of class due to teacher’s illness: class will be rescheduled at a suitable time in the session.

La Petite Ecole / Conditions of enrolment

  • No enrolment is confirmed unless 100% of the course fee is paid. Please note that fees cannot be refunded in the case of cancellation less than two days before the course starts. The Alliance Française de Newcastle cannot beheld responsible for changes in the parents’ or child’s commitments or personal circumstances.
  • Classes will not be held on NSW public holidays. These classes will be rescheduled at a suitable time in the session.
  • If a class is cancelled due to the teacher's illness, it will be rescheduled at a suitable time in the session.
  • If a child misses a class, he/she can come to another class during the same term.
  • Parents should collect their child on time. A $10 surcharge will apply for every 10 Min of child minding after completion of the class.
